New KME Rescue Pumper for Dalton/East Wayne Fire District, Dalton, OH. We worked with the Fire Department on the planning and layout of the equipment after the truck arrived at the Fire Department. The Department purchased the truck with no shelving, slide outs, or vertical tool boards. Sensible Products worked with the committee and developed the mounting plan and locations of the equipment to meet the operations of the Fire Department. The drivers side is set up for fire operations and the passengers side is set up for rescue operations. Sensible Products constructed two vertical tool boards to mount all water flow adapters and water flow equipment and fabricated and installed one swing out panel that holds all forcible entry tools. We also installed several slide trays, and several out and down units for saws, ventilation fans, and a rescue winch. On the rescue side, we designed and fabricated a complete unit to hold two sets of spreaders, two sets of cutters, two rams, pedal cutter, power unit and hoses. Above this slide out unit, an extended shelf holds the additional extrication equipment such as sawzalls, air hammer kit, and small hand tools. We also fabricated a swing out panel that holds all air bags, a total of 7, that swings out to give access to both sides of the panel and equipment. We also fabricated several parts out of HDPE plastic that were welded together such as the box for the cardiac monitor on the interior of the truck. This truck was completed in 5 days and ready to Go in Service when it arrives back at the Fire Department.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
