New Sutphen Rescue Pumper for Jackson Twp. Fire Department, Massillon, Ohio. Sensible Products visited the Fire Department prior to the truck arriving at Sensible Products to look at the truck and provide a detailed quote based on the equipment mounting plan. Once the truck arrived at Sensible Products the plan was reviewd and work began. In the first drivers side compartment, an existing shelf was lowered to better accommodate the equipment. Chanl Panl rear and side wall boards were mounted in the upper portion of this compartment and a black floor board was mounted on the shelf. All LDH fittings, small couplings, spanners, and a mallet were mounted. On the shelf, several nozzles and a gated wye were mounted. On the lower slide out tray, a black plastic welded divider was mounted to secure and separate pro-pak foam, extinguishers, and an SCBA. In the second drivers side compartment, an existing slide out/down tray was lowered to better accommodate the equipment. On this out/down tray, a black poly floor board was added and the Kodiak Jacks were secured. In the lower portion of this compartment, a black plastic welded divider was added to hold the air bags, control kit, air chisel, and chains. The air bags were secured down with a Velcro strap. In the third drivers side compartment, the existing shelf was moved up to better accommodate the extrication equipment and battery chargers that would mount on the shelf. In this compartment, the customer supplied Lazy Susan from Fire & Marine Inc. was mounted on the slide out tray to hold a cutter, spreader, and ram. A black poly floor board was added to the slide out tray. Chanl Panl was mounted on the rear and side walls to mount a sawzall and barrier tape. In the rear of the apparatus, a black poly floor board was mounted on the slide out tray and an electric fan, portable lights, and cords were mounted. In the upper hose bed area, a plastic welded divider was made to hold brooms, a hook, and 4 x 4s. In the third passenger side compartment, a Chanl Panl rear wall board was mounted in the upper portion of this compartment and step chocks and ratchets/straps were mounted. In the lower portion of this compartment on the slide out tray, a black plastic welded divider was mounted to hold cribbing bags and rocker panel plates. In the second passengers side compartment, a custom swing out panel made by Sensible Products Inc. was made and installed to mount hand tools. The swing out panel was made of Chanl Panl boards complete with stoppers/locks and a grab handle. A Chanl Panl board was mounted on the rear wall of this compartment. Tools mounted on the swing out and back wall included: flat head axe, pick head axe, halligan, 2 bolt cutters, fan bar, cable cutters, K-tool, shovels, hand saw, 2 sledge hammers, pry bar, and extra saw blades. A black poly floor board was also mounted in this compartment. In the first passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl rear wall board was mounted in the upper portion of this compartment. Two saws were mounted, along with a bracket for a fuel can. A shelf was added to the middle portion of this compartment to hold tarps and a pocket for saw parts. In the lower portion of this compartment on the slide out tray, a black poly floor board was mounted. A tool box and portable winch were mounted. In the behind the cab compartments, Turtle Tile was added to the floor and one compartment had two hooks for gear/helmets. In the cab, a custom plastic welded box was made to hold the Lucas Chest Compression System bag. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 6 days.
