New 4-Guys Engine for Kidron Fire Department, Kidron, OH. Sensible Products worked with the Fire Department to come up with an equipment mounting plan before the truck arrived at our facility and once the truck was delivered. In the first drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl was added to the rear and side walls to mount all water flow equipment. A Sensible Products yellow hand control box was mounted to better hold the Wilburt hand controller. An aluminum shelf was added here and a black poly floor board was mounted on the shelf. All nozzles/wyes/foam tubes were then mounted on the shelf. A portable monitor base and cones were housed under the shelf. In the second drivers side compartment, a black plastic welded divider liner was added to hold and separate cribbing, air bags, air bag control kit, and a sawzall. In the third drivers side compartment, a fixed shelf was added and a black poly floor board was mounted on the shelf. A Chanl Panl rear wall board was added to hold the Kodiak Jacks, accessories, and hoses. Custom brackets were made for the side walls to hold a crash kit, a cutter, and spreader. A plastic welded divider liner was made for the existing slide out tray to hold all the extrication accessories. In the rear of the apparatus, a small Chanl Panl board was added to the rear wall to hold other water flow equipment. Stoppers were made to hold the rural hitch and hose rolls in place. In the third passengers side compartment, an additional shelf was added and a black poly floor board was mounted to it along with a chain and rotary saw. A Chanl Panl rear and side wall board were added to hold a pocket for saw parts, TruFuel cans, and extra saw blades. In the second passengers side compartment, two portable lights were mounted. The rest of the area was left open for tarps and miscellaneous. In the first passengers side compartment, another aluminum shelf was added to hold SCBAs and spare bottles. An aluminum divider was added to secure four spare bottles in a vertical position. In the lower portion of this compartment, a PPV fan, generator and gas can were secured. Both the drivers and passengers side of the apparatus had tall compartments behind the cab the department wanted to use for all of their tool storage. In the drivers side, Chanl Panl boards were added to the rear and side walls and a claw tool, trash hook, bolt cutters, NY Hook, sledge-wedge, pick head axe, irons and two extinguishers were mounted. In the passengers side compartment, rear and side wall Chanl Panl boards were added and a flat head axe, sledge-wedge, halligan, sledge hammer, two NY hooks, battering ram, and two extinguishers were mounted. With both of these compartments being so tall, all tool brackets were mounted low for easy, yet secure accessibility. Most D-handled tools were hung on a D-handle bracket up high, with an additional mount lower on the tool within arms reach. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 4 1/2 days.
