New Sutphen for Plain Township Fire Department Canton, OH. Sensible Products has been working with this Fire Department since 1985 and has completely outfitted several trucks for them. This new Sutphen truck was almost identical to the truck completed in 2015, so the equipment mounting was almost identical to make the trucks look and function the same way. All water flow equipment was packaged in the first drivers side compartment. Chanl Panl boards were mounted on the vertical slide outs with couplings and adapters on one side and nozzles on the other. In the second drivers side compartment, a piece of aluminum edging was added to prevent items from sliding out. In the third drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl boards were added to the vertical slide out to mount hand tools. Axes and bolt cutters were mounted on one side, and wrenches and hose roller on the other side. Shovels, sledge hammer, and water key were also mounted on the walls of this compartment. In the rear of the apparatus, two fans were secured with straps. In the third passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl board was mounted in the upper portion of the cabinet to hold hoses, glass cutter, and misc. equipment. The lower slide out of the compartment holds the extrication equipment. Cutter, spreader, and ram were all secured with plastic stoppers and straps. In the second passengers side compartment, a strap was placed around all loose equipment bags and portable lights were mounted on a back mounting plate that also secured the base of the portable light. The portable light base can slide in and out of the slot on the back mounting plate. In the first drivers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added for future use. In the lower portion of this compartment, 2 saws and fuel cans were mounted. In one small compartment behind the cab, an ABC extinguisher, flares, and NY hook were mounted. In the same compartment behind the cab on the opposite side of the truck, a water extinguisher, set of irons, and NY hook were mounted. A strap was added in the cab for a cooler, and another strap was added for cones in the cab. A Little Giant ladder was mounted on top of the truck. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 3 1/2 days and was ready to Go In-Service when leaving Sensible Products.
