New Pierce 107′ Ascendant ladder truck for Carey Fire Department, Carey, Ohio. An equipment mounting plan was determined once the apparatus arrived at Sensible Products. Some of the equipment had not come in yet, but mounts and labels were provided for where the items were to be mounted. In the first drivers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added for future use, a mallet was mounted, and a strap provided in the lower roll out tray for a low level strainer. In the second drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl wall boards were added for future use. In the third drivers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added and holders and posts were mounted for water flow fittings. On the lower roll out tray in this compartment, a black poly floor board with plastic welded dividers was added to mount (3) 1.5″ nozzles on one side, 6″ elbow and 5″ storz in the middle, and (2) 2.5″ nozzles on the right side. In the rear of the apparatus, a plastic welded cubby hole assembly was fabricated and mounted to hold air bottles. In the third passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl rear wall board was added, and an SCBA bracket and wrenches were mounted. Two fire extinguishers were mounted in the lower portion of this compartment. In the second passengers side compartment, a black poly floor board and Chanl Panl wall boards were added and all hand tools were mounted here including: crow bar, pick and flat head axes, bolt cutters, and (2) halligans. In the first drivers side compartment, (2) Chanl Panl wall boards were added for future use and small Chanl Panl board was added on the side wall in the lower portion of this compartment for a saw parts pocket. A black poly floor board was added and a saw mount provided for the rotary saw. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 2 days.
