New Rosenbauer Tanker for Lawrence Twp. Fire Department, Canal Fulton, Ohio. This tanker is set up for firefighting as well as extrication operations. Sensible Products visited this department when they received the truck to look at the truck and equipment and provide a quote. In the first drivers side compartment, posts for barrier tape and a flare holder were mounted on the back wall. Black floor boards were added on all 3 shelves and a barrel strainer, monitor base, low level strainer, foam tube, and mallet were all mounted. On the slide out, a custom plastic welded divider by Sensible Products was made to separate and mount 5″ fill hose and 3 fire extinguishers. In this same compartment, 3 drawers held all small and large adapters as well as nozzles/gates. Black floor boards were added in all 3 drawers and all appliances were secured on mounting posts. In the second drivers side compartment, salvage buckets and tarps/rope bags were secured with a custom cargo net provided by Sensible Products. The cargo net covers the entire top area of the compartment and is held down by bungee straps. When the compartment door is up, clips on the door hold the cargo net up and out of the way for easy and quick access to the equipment. On the lower portion of this compartment, 2 saws and saw parts were mounted. In the third drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl boards were added to 2 vertical slide outs and all hand tools were mounted here including shovels, crow bars, bolt cutters, sledge hammer, pike poles, axe, K-tool, pipe wrench and irons. A tail board mount was mounted on the rear tailboard. In the third passengers side compartment, black floor boards were added and portable lights and 2 fans were secured. In the second passengers side compartment, another custom cargo net was provided and mounted the same as the other side of the truck. In the lower portion of this compartment, a custom plastic welded divider by Sensible Products was made to hold cribbing. In the first passengers side compartment, 2 loose pieces of Chanl Panl were provided for future use and all extrication tools were mounted on the slide out below. Custom brackets for cutters and spreaders were made by Sensible Products and the ram, power unit, and more 5″ fill hose were secured. In the cab, 2 axes were mounted, and a custom plastic welded box was made and mounted in the cab to protect the point of the halligan. Turtle Tile flooring was added in 2 small side compartments on each side of the truck. All equipment was labeled with red/white engraved labels. This truck was completed in 5 days.
