Year Completed: 2017

New Pierce 107′ Ladder for North Royalton Fire Department, North Royalton, Ohio. Several members of the Fire Department visited Sensible Products prior to bringing their apparatus to look at a similar truck that was having equipment mounting done that week. Sensible Products and the Fire Department were able to come up with a detailed equipment mounting plan. In the first drivers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added and all water flow equipment was mounted here. In the lower portion of this compartment, a black floor board was added to a slide out tray and several nozzles were mounted here. Mounts for a mallet, barrier tape, and a pocket for miscellaneous equipment was provided. In the second drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl was added to the swing out tool board and the back wall of this compartment. All hand and forcible entry tools were mounted here including: sledge hammers, bolt cutters, pick head axe, irons, TNT tool, K- tool, and more. The third drivers side compartment was to be an area that needed the mounts to be interchangeable based on what needed to be carried on the truck at various times. A black floor board was added to the slide out tray and the generator was secured with a strap. Above this, a reversible shelf was added to hold cords. A Strong Arm was mounted and a pocket for spreader tips was added. Also in this compartment, a removable board with extrication mounts was made to fit on the slide out tray. A cutter, spreader, and ram were mounted. This board and the extrication tools can then be taken out and placed in another truck if need be. In the rear, a black floor board was added and a divider for the tool box and hydrant bag was mounted. A tube to hold flares was mounted on the wall. In the third passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added and pocket for saw parts was mounted. A double can holder was mounted on the side wall to hold 2 cans of pre-mixed fuel. A rotary and chain saw were mounted on the shelf in this compartment. In the lower portion of this compartment, a black floor board was added and a generator was secured with a strap. A mount for cords was added to the side wall. A gas can and bracket and a custom welded box for oil was also mounted on the slide out tray. A place was left for a fan on this slide out tray. In the second passengers side compartment, black floor board was added and a 1″ x 1″ piece of aluminum was added as a front lip for this compartment. A set of irons and NY hook were mounted here. In the first passengers side compartment, a black floor board was added and a fan and portable lights were secured here. A strap for tarps and a post for barrier tape were mounted. On the top shelf of this compartment, a divider was made to hold batteries/chargers. Two extinguishers were mounted in small compartments on each side of the truck. Shovels were mounted on the top of the apparatus. Two SCBAs were secured in the cab and a custom plastic welded double glove holder box was made and mounted in the cab as well. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 5 days.
