New Toyne Tanker for Rome Volunteer Fire Department, Rome, OH. Sensible Products visited the Fire Department prior to the truck arriving at Sensible Products to develop an equipment mounting plan and provide a detailed quote. Once the truck arrived at Sensible Products, the equipment mounting plan was reviewed and work began. In the first drivers side compartment, all water flow equipment was mounted. The upper portion of this compartment had existing peg board in place. Some LDH fittings, wrenches, and lights were mounted on the peg board. On the shelf in this compartment, nozzles and wyes were mounted. In the lower portion of this compartment, a plastic welded cubby compartment and aluminum shelf were added to mount all rural water supply appliances. This made all equipment easily accessible and visible. On the right side door, Chanl Panl was mounted and the 6″ storz fittings and smaller couplings were mounted. On the left side door, hammers, mallets, and a portable light were mounted.  In the second and third drivers side compartments, all forcible entry tools were mounted. Chanl Panl was added to the back walls of both compartments. All tools including: claw tool, flat head axe, pick head axe, sledge hammer, GlasMaster, pike pole, two bolt cutters, pry bar and halligan were mounted. Black poly floor boards were added and a rotary and chain saw were mounted. Also in this area, two custom roll down vinyl covers were mounted to protect the side of the truck when moving tools in and out of the compartments. The covers are rolled up and stored in the compartment when not in use and fold out 12″ to cover the side of the truck down to the wheel well. In the forth drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl was added to the upper section of this compartment and two SCBAs were mounted. Also in this area, posts were made for the CamLok fittings to sit on, on the shelf. On the passengers side first compartment, two fans, generator, and sawzall were secured with straps. Three custom mounts to hold three sizes of extra sawzall blades were mounted to the door. In the second passengers side compartment, a black poly floor board with a plastic welded divider was installed to secure and separate fire extinguishers, cones, and foam. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 4 days.
