Strongsville Fire Department, Strongsville, Ohio. New Sutphen Pumper. The Fire Department purchased an identical truck to one we did equipment mounting on in 2016. This truck was to be set up exactly like the previous one we did. All water flow equipment was mounted in the first drivers side compartment on a rear wall Chanl Panl board and two side wall Chanl Panl boards. LDH fittings, couplings, adapters, a mallet, barrier tape, hose roller, and various nozzles were all mounted. A divider was added in the lower section of this compartment to separate and secure a hose roll and portable monitor. The second drivers side compartment holds shovels, tarps, brooms, hotel pack, and stand pipe kit on two shelves and compartment floor. In the third drivers side compartment, two Chanl Panl boards were added to a vertical slide out to mount struts, extension tubes, various foot plates, and additional foot plates for shoring. Plastic cutouts welded into the Chanl Panl holds the struts and extensions in place. The base of the struts rest on a plastic post or plastic cup and posts hold additional footplates on the Chanl Panl. These are all custom items by Sensible Products. Velcro straps add additional security. A small shelf was added in the rear of the apparatus and all extrication equipment including cutters, spreaders, and ram were mounted here. In the third passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added and three portable lights were mounted here. In the lower portion of this compartment, a black floor boards was added, two saws, gas can, and saw parts were mounted. In the second passenger side compartment, all tools were mounted here on a Chanl Panl wall board. In the first passenger side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added and three extinguishers were mounted. An SCBA, water extinguisher, and irons were mounted in two small compartments on each side of the truck. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 3 1/2 days.
