New Sutphen Engine for Warwick Twp. Fire Department, Warwick, Ohio. Sensible Products Inc. worked with Herb Fire Equipment, salesman Bob Jones, to put the equipment mounting process in the department’s apparatus specification. Once the truck was completed at Sutphen, the truck and equipment was delivered to Sensible Products. Sensible Products worked with the Chief on an equipment mounting plan. In the first drivers side compartment, Chanl Panl boards were added to two vertical slide out panels and all water flow equipment was mounted on these boards. Large diameter fittings, small couplings, gated wye, hydrant gates, mallet, and several nozzles were mounted here. Plastic welded shelves were mounted to the Chanl Panl boards to hold nozzles and a 5″ storz x 2.5″ Siamese. In the second drivers side compartment, a black poly floor board and aluminum strip were added to the floor of this compartment to hold tarps and salvage equipment. On the out/down slide out unit in this compartment, a black poly floor board was added, two saws were mounted, a pocket added for saw parts, and a pocket for TruFuel cans were mounted. In the third drivers side compartment, the middle shelf was removed to allow for more space vertically. In the upper section of this compartment, two side wall Chanl Panl boards were mounted and a cord reel and barrier tape were mounted on these boards. In the lower section of this compartment, a plastic welded compartment liner was made to secure and separate fire extinguishers, cribbing, sawzall, and the spreader tool. A custom plastic welded bracket was made to hold the spreader tool on an angle in the compartment. In the rear of the apparatus, a generator and portable pump were secured. In the third passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added in the upper section for future use. On the slide out tray in the lower section, a black poly floor board was added and two fans were secured. In the second passengers side compartment, a black poly floor board and aluminum strip were added. A Chanl Panl wall board was added and all tools were mounted here including: trash hook, pike pole, halligan, bolt cutters, cable cutters, pick and flat head axe, fubar, and pry bar. In the first passengers side compartment, a Chanl Panl wall board was added in the upper section and all rural water flow equipment was mounted here. In the lower section of this compartment, a plastic welded compartment liner/divider was added to hold low level strainers and an open area for future use. In the cab, a light was secured and an SCBA bracket was added. All equipment was labeled with red/white tags. This truck was completed in 2 1/2 days.
